Technical Recruiter
The following position, located in central
New Jersey, is
with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions
for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete
security installations include Sensors, Standalone Radar
Systems, Emergency Response Systems, Command & Control,
Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch
(CAD).
General
Summary:
- Work with the Manager of Staffing and Director of HR and hiring
managers on the Engineering Teams to develop, implement and
execute recruiting strategies in order to achieve aggressive
staffing goals.
- Guide the hiring process through all aspects of the recruiting
cycle; identifying suitable candidates, phone and in-person
technical screening, reference checks, negotiating job
offers, and supporting candidates through post-hire process.
- Research, source, screen, and interview, talented
individuals for a variety of job openings for our
Engineering Teams, primarily mid- and senior-level Software,
Systems, Network, Integration, Testing and Field Engineers
and also QA Engineers, Tech Writers and Project Managers.
- Identify candidates through creative sourcing techniques involving;
cold-calling, warm canvassing, referrals, media leads,
database mining, acquiring company directories, industry
newsletters, media leads/magazines, job postings, online and
social networking, industry events, etc.
- Ensure timely and accurate sharing of feedback with HR Director,
hiring managers and candidates.
Major
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
-
5+ years’
experience in high-volume technical recruiting; at least 2+
years in a fast-growing, environment
- 3-5 years international recruiting experience
- Experience recruiting in the Engineering, Software Development,
Security, Defense Contractor and Government industries
- Strong knowledge of current technologies.
- Proven track record of creatively sourcing active and passive
candidates without the use of outside agencies.
- Strong interviewing skills, organization skills and ability to
multi-task, good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid
interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and team player with ability to foster successful
relationships at all levels of management.
- Availability to travel to conduct Job Fairs and Open House recruiting.
- Must be energized by the thrill of the search.
Knowledge:
-
BS in
Computer Science or related field is a plus. Experience
using a candidate tracking system Brass Ring, Taleo, etc.
Experience:
-
Minimum
5+ years as a recruiter.

Experience with DHS or DOD projects, highly desirable
Residency
Requirements:

Must be
a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Must
have valid Passport and be ready, willing and able to travel
internationally as necessary
Additional Job
Information:

Security Clearance or SIDA highly desirable May be required
to travel to Job Fairs and Open Houses during and after
hours to support recruiting activities or international
travel 25%
