The following position, located in central New Jersey, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD).  

Senior Software Engineer 

General Summary:

Software Developer with 5+ years of professional experience will report to Manager of Software Development 

Position Requirements:

•  Very strong knowledge in C# under Windows, with a Visual C++ background

• MS Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 required

• MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) and STL (Standard Template Library) required

• .NET 1.1 and 2.0 required. Please note: ASP.NET experience not considered.

• WinForms, Microsoft Visual C++, MFC, required

• Strong Plus - knowledge of SQL, data design and relational concepts; experience with Relational Database Systems – MS SQL Server preferred

• Experience with client/server architectures, multi-threaded applications, IP based sockets (TCP and UDP), XML concepts and usage, required

• Very strong technical background

• Proficient in object-oriented design, data analysis and system architecture and the associated documentation

• Excellent Oral and written communication skills 

Additional Information: (major pluses)

• .Net Framework 3.5

• GUI Development in C++ or C#

• SNMP, network management

• DoD/DHS project experience

• Security Clearance or SIDA highly desirable

Job specifications: 

Knowledge:

• Bachelors Degree or Higher required 

Residency Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

• Must be able to obtain US Passport 

Travel:

• May be required to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally to support customer activities. (Pay premium for international travel)
