Job Opportunity: SITE MANAGER

Military, Government, Security Wanted (Central, NJ)

The following position, located in central NJ, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Standalone Radar Systems, Emergency Response Systems, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manage business unit activities in one site. The manager will manage 2-3 site inspectors and sub contractors.

  • Main activities are to run the site work including: civil works, electrical work, communication systems and security infrastructures.

  • The manager will manage 2 engineers to inspect all sub activities.

  • The manager will work with Area site manager and with business unit technical manager which will be in charge on this site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • To execute AIS infrastructures work at the site with subcontractors according to the plans, specs, table’s local codes and local regulations.

  • Responsible for budget for the site. 

  • Responsible for the safety and HSE plan for the site. Prepare daily PTW for site activities.

  • Build a time schedule for the site infrastructure, follow the time schedule of the works including: studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

  • Analyze and resolve work problems at the site and solve work problems that arise.

  • Responsible for the logistic at site, coordinate and balance the equipment per time schedules.

  • Manage sub contractors, coordinate and balance sub contractors workloads & equipment as per the work plan.

  • Responsible for the QA for the sites.

  • Work with the end user and the customer.

  • Be part of the infrastructure management. Support business unit infrastructure manager to find sub contractors & vendors, to improve production methods, procedure.

Report to:   Business unit area manager and to AGT Technical manager of these sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Master's degree (M. A.) as civil /electrical/construction engineer. 

  • At least six years related and approved experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of all office systems including PM.

  • Knowledge of budget management and control.

  • DoD/DHS experience a plus

  • Security Clearance or SIDA desired

PERSONAL ABILITIES

  • Team Leadership skills, Independent and individual abilities, Ability to work under pressure.
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Abilities to handle vigorous daily physical work at site, and work extended hours as necessary. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • A valid US Passport is required
