The following position, located in central New Jersey, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise. 

Principal Software Engineer

General Summary:

Software Development and Architect with at least 10+ years in design and building enterprise applications under Microsoft Windows. Candidate will report to Manager of Software Development. 

Position Requirements:

• Very strong knowledge in Visual C++ and C# under Windows

• MS Visual Studio 2003, 2005 and 2008 required;

• MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) and STL (Standard Template Library), WPF, WCF

• WinForms,  WinSockets

• Strong knowledge of SQL, data design and relational concepts; experience with Relational Database Systems – MS SQL Server 2005

• Strong Experience with client/server architectures.

• Full knowledge and implementation of multi-threaded applications.

• Extensive understanding and experience in IP based sockets (TCP and UDP)

• Full understanding and experience in .NET WinForms, WPF and WCF

• Strong in XML concepts and usage

• Very strong technical background

• Extensive understanding and proficient in object-oriented design, data analysis and system architecture

• Excellent Oral and written communication skills                                 

Additional Information: (major pluses)

• SNMP, network management

• DoD/DHS project experience

• Security Clearance or SIDA desired

• National / International travel may be required up to 75% (Pay premium for international travel)

• Security Clearance or SIDA highly desirable
