Job Opportunity: Project Coordinator

Military, Government, Security Wanted (Central, NJ)

The following position, located in central NJ, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Standalone Radar Systems, Emergency Response Systems, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY 

Facilitates planning, status collection, acts as data manager, and technical expediter.  Reports to Sr. Program Manager.  

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS and ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

• Weekly program status collection and reporting
• Responsible for maintaining project action items and schedule
• Responsible for expediting priority tasks
• Keeping overall project and delivery schedule
• Interface with Customer PMO Program Mgmt Organization) and representatives to understand the needs and resolve project open issues.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge:

• BS Degree in management, economics, computer science, or engineering required.  Advanced degree preferred.
• Technical background highly desired in Telecom, electro optics, networking or Hardware / software development, integration, and test.
• Understanding of software and product development life cycles.

Experience:

+5 years experience in similar type of engineering environment

Skills / Aptitudes:          

• MS Project and MS Office proficiency required.
• Technical Background in software implementations, hardware deployment, or command and control desired.
• Knowledge of engineering processes in similar type of companies required
• Use of MS PowerPoint and graphic application.

WORKING CONDITIONS

       Office and Lab environment.  Travel to be up to 25-50%
