The following position, located in central New Jersey, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise. 

General Position Summary:

Provide Oracle support for a Homeland Security Company. 

Major Responsibilities & Tasks: 

Perform installation of Oracle on Windows and other related duties as necessary.  Perform database performance optimization and backup/recovery. 

Job Specifications: 

Knowledge:

• OCA, OCE (preferred) and a college degree. BS required, MS desired

• Fully understand ORACLE Architecture and database structures.

• Experience with Performance tuning on VLBD' s a plus.

• Experience in the Telco industry a plus.

• Oracle DRP with DataGuard preferred

• Oracle Versions 10G and 11g preferred

• IEEE 829, ISO 9001 desired

 Experience:

• Experience with DHS or DOD projects, highly desirable

• Experience with Integrated Product Teams, desired

 Skills/Aptitudes:

• Understanding clustered environments on windows using OFS

• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL including storage procedures understanding.

• Backup & recovery Concepts, Oracle Network Concepts, Storage Concepts.

• Unix (RAC) environments versions 11.

Residency Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen

• A valid US Passport is required

Travel Requirements:

• Must be willing and able to travel 100% or relocate to UAE to support customer activities. 

• Work in extreme environmental conditions such as desert sun, wind, etc.) is probable
