The following position, located in central New Jersey, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise. 

General Position Summary: 

Provide Testing, planning, management, and engineering support for test and deployment operations for a Homeland Security Company. This individual will manage a team of 5-10 Test Engineers and will be responsible for successful test execution in a challenging environment. 

Major Responsibilities & Tasks: 

• Manage the Test team. The team consists of 5-10 test engineers at present. The individual will need to balance support for multiple simultaneous domestic and international projects.

• Hands-on involvement in documenting test plans, test cases and executing tests during System Integration and Test. Develop test plan(s) in accordance with customer requirements. Perform verification of functional and performance test requirements, to include comprehensive system level environmental tests.

• Perform preparation and management of schedules, cost estimating, and budgets. Perform vendor and customer interactions relating to test functions.

• Oversee system test facility build out and functionality.  

• Strong background in Development, QA processes, Integration.

• Must possess strong leadership qualities and excellent verbal and written communications.

• Support the Systems Engineering and Software Development teams in the development of system/software requirements and system/software design phases of the project.

Job Specifications:

Knowledge:

• BS in EE or CS required, MS desired

• IEEE 829, ISO 9001 desired

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years management experience with a team of at least 10 required

• Minimum 5-10 years experience with integration and test of large systems, required

• Experience with DHS or DOD projects, highly desirable

• Experience with Integrated Product Teams, desired

Residency Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen

• Valid US Passport is required

Travel Requirements:

• Must be willing and able to travel domestically or internationally (50 %+) to support customer activities.
