The following position, located in central NJ, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Standalone Radar Systems, Emergency Response Systems, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise.

General Summary:

Improve your tan, visit exotic locations, and make a difference in the world!  We need sharp hard working people to provide field integration and deployment support for a homeland security company.  Relevant skills include planning camera field of view, line of site, mounting scheme, power and communication connections.  Experience with cameras, video communications, and camera control communication required. Must be able to plan the integration to local utilities (i.e. power and telecom).  Requires a high level of organization and ability to prepare complete and accurate documentation.

Major Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Hands-on involvement in all aspects of field activities including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and documentation.

• This individual will support the Integration & Test teams in the field and in the lab.

• This position will require manual labor during installation and configuration of equipment, both in the field and in a lab environment.

• Survey surveillance system sites

• Choose locations of cameras, poles, cabinets

• Document location data on maps as well as technical reports of findings at site

• Photograph Line of sight, Field of view, etc.

• Interact with client contacts and Country officials

• Position will involve supervised wiring installation and hook ups.

• Assist in the troubleshooting and configuration both in the field and lab.

• Assist in the execution of software and hardware testing, both in the field and in the lab.

• Reports to: Field Manager

Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree – engineering discipline preferred - plus three years experience installing video surveillance equipment and associated endpoint equipment.

Experience:

• Must be physically able to lift over 50 lbs

• Must have experience using computers with Microsoft Windows.

• Desired knowledge of basic electronics components

• Desired knowledge of CCTV, VMD and Radar systems.

• DoD/DHS experience a plus

• Security Clearance or SIDA desired

Residency Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen

• A valid US Passport is required

Travel Requirements:

Must be willing and able to travel domestically or internationally (75 %+) to support customer activities.  Extreme environmental conditions (such as working in sun and heat, etc.) are probable.
