Job Opportunity: Deployment Manager - International

Military, Government, Security Wanted (Central, NJ)

The following position, located in central NJ, is with a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Their complete security installations include Sensors, Standalone Radar Systems, Emergency Response Systems, Command & Control, Communications, Access Control and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The company leverages decades of experience in defense and security through strategic partnerships with leading defense contractors and select vendors identified as leaders in their respective fields of expertise.

General Position Summary:

This individual shall possess a bachelor’s degree Electrical engineering discipline preferred- plus five years experience as a deployment manager or site manager in multi-million dollars, multi-disciplinary projects. Must be familiar with installing video surveillance equipment and associated endpoint equipment. Experience with cameras, video communications, and camera control communication required. Must be able to plan and coordinate the integration to local utilities (i.e. power and telecom).  Ability to work with agencies and manage logistics of small team requires a high level of organization and thoroughness of documentation.

Major Responsibilities & Tasks:

Accountabilities:

• Reports to Project Manager

• Responsible for the project deployment aspects in the site country.

• Will be working closely and coordinating all local sub-contractors and assisting the project manager in all related project activities. The role includes:

1. Interaction & coordinate with Authority officials

2. Coordination of site Survey activity

3. Interact with client for needed authorizations and coordination items

4. Coordinating local activities with the customer such as training, production readiness and go live.

5. Plan and coordinate the integration to local utilities (i.e. power and telecommunications). 

Job Specifications:

Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree – engineering discipline preferred - plus three years experience installing video surveillance equipment and associated endpoint equipment.

• At least five years experience as a deployment manager or site manager in multi-million dollars, multi-disciplinary projects.

• Must be familiar with installing video surveillance equipment and associated endpoint equipment. Experience with cameras, video communications, and camera control communication required.

• Ability to work with agencies and manage logistics of small team required.

• Ability to complete and manage documentation at a high level of organization and thoroughness. 

Experience:

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Demonstrate Knowledge and Experience in installation of Security systems or Video Systems is an advantage.

• Demonstrated knowledge of setting up and working with SOW, WBS, work plans, and earned value management.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and negotiating vendors & installation subcontractors

• Demonstrated experience in managing and negotiating requirements in a government contracting environment.

• Knowledge of relevant territory culture desired.

• Expertise in project management tools including MS Project

• Leadership, communication, and personal skills commensurate with the role.

• DoD/DHS experience a plus

• Security Clearance or SIDA desired

Residency Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen

• A valid US Passport is required 

Travel Requirements:

• This position is located internationally.  Must be willing to relocate or currently reside in UAE.  Will be required to work at a project site which may include working outdoors.
